An adventure 65 million years in the making! Welcome to Episode 16 of “Reel Chat” – a podcast that guarantees week in, week out – the “Reel world as we know it.”

On this fourteenth episode of our “Vintage Vault” retrospective series, host Adam Stolfo is joined by co-host Brose Avard and regular guest Andrew McCaskill to discuss one of the most important and influential motion pictures of all time. A monumental achievement in every sense of the word, it pioneered the way visual effects are seen in movies to this day, spawning a successful franchise that’s getting a new entry in 2015 – 22 years after it all began. Today “Reel Chat” is tackling Steven Spielberg’s 1993 mega-blockbuster – “Jurassic Park.”

With the franchise’s latest entry (“Jurassic World“) coming out in June, there really is no better time to look back at the series in detail. On this episode, the guys talk about the original film’s legacy, it’s ground-breaking use of CGI and animatronics, it’s cast, it’s legendary director Steven Spielberg, John Williams’ amazing score, it’s numerous DVD and Blu-ray releases, it’s 3D re-release, as well as the possibility of whether we could actually clone dinosaurs with modern 2015 technology.

Jurassic Park” fans rejoice – we’ll be looking at the sequels as well as the new film in the coming months… right here on “Reel Chat.”
