The rules have been reset! Welcome to Episode 33 of “Reel Chat” – a podcast that guarantees week in, week out – the “Reel world as we know it.”
Well, we’re finally there! We’ve finally come to the end of this once mighty Terminator franchise. On this episode, huge Terminator fan (and host) Adam Stolfo is joined by co-host Brose Avard and Stuart Wilson to discuss 2015’s “Terminator Genisys” – chapter 5 in the hugely successful science-fiction franchise.
Adam holds his anger back here again… appearing more disappointed than anything else with this latest re-imagining of a once great concept. Brose and Stuart, on the other hand, are more forgiving, attempting to share their pleasant surprise at how much enjoyment they actually got out of it. As usual, discussion and debate on a flawed sequel is a specialty of “Reel Chat” and the guys get their teeth into the excitement and expectation of the film’s returning star Arnold Schwarzenegger, the direction of Alan Taylor, the Hans Zimmer-esque musical score of Lorne Balfe, debate on whether this film is a prequel, sequel or remake (or soft reboot), as well as why the film didn’t do too well at the Box Office (particularly in America).
With the guys wrapping up the series, the segment – “The Franchise Cut Off Point” also makes it’s return. Don’t miss this latest “Reel Chat” offering guys and gals! These films that split the opinions of audiences can sometimes make for quality “cream of the crop” podcasting!
