Just in time for “Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice” comes Reel Chat 54.0 – “Man Of Steel.” Zack Snyder’s polarising feature certainly made an impact on the comic book movie genre back in 2013. Easily making a bigger dent in the box office than “Superman Returns“, the film nevertheless had its detractors.
Adam Stolfo, Brose Avard, Andrew McCaskill and Stuart Wilson were brave enough to step up to the plate in an attempt to re-evaluate Henry Cavill’s debut outing as the Big Boy Scout himself, and they’d be lying if they said that they were eager to return to Snyder’s vision of a pre-Daily Planet Clark Kent.
Nevertheless, they tackle the big issues on this episode, asking what kind of lesson Jonathan Kent was trying to impart to his son, why Diane Lane manages to be so damn great in such a thankless role, and of course discussing Henry Cavill’s chest. In detail.
We’re not entirely sure it’s necessary you watch “Man Of Steel” before seeing “Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice“, but listening to Reel Chat Episode 54.0 is an absolute must!
